  Are the Jehovah's Witnesses, under the direction of the GB Jah's org?

  please let active jws comment here first.

  i am especially inerested in their response as to whether the governing body is god's channel of truth, leading the members of the congregations, the sum of whom cumulatively make up jehovah's organization.

  Moses was an Israelite Egyptian Military leader who rebeled! Any thoughts or info?

  josephus and other non bible sources say moses was an excellent egyptian military commander who defeated the ethiopians.

  now while i'm re-reading these bible accounts i get the feeling that moses was a brutal and smart military man.

  as the "meekest man" on earth he invaded many nations killing all the inhabitants, taking their land {promised by jehovah} spoils and virgins.

  its not that confusing, it moses is just a title, like "the king" - you could say in a history book
  
  1) the king was 6' tall and had a wife called Jane

  and later on in the book

  2) the kind was 5' tall and had a wife called Jill

  Just different people.

  from what I have read there is strong evidence that:

  1) Moses, or Mose, is a title, not a name

  2) Moses of the bible is 2 people (this is backed up by many factors, the fact that the 'mose' character is has more than 1 father in law, but not more than 1 wife etc.)

  3) One character was likely to be a priest that started the monotheistic jewish religion, another a prince

  read this for more details - http://www.grahamphillips.net/Books/Moses.htm well written book, certainly makes more sense of the bible that trying to fix moses as one man.

  Question for Faders.....

  did you all start getting the "full court press" from "friends" to start doing more things socially as you began your fade?.

  i havent been invited to do a whole lot the last few months, but now all of a sudden i am getting phone calls and invites to do things.

  fortunately, it hasnt been - "hey lets go out in field service" or anything like that since i would tell them to take a hike (which at this point means make myself busy at work or otherwise) .

  Computer Geek advice?

  i have a new, presumably good-working-order 1terabyte hard drive, with 64 bit windows vista loaded from an hp computer that i purchased cheap (125 bucks) because the case (and the motherboard) has been badly smooshed by an errant forklift.

  i have a 1.5 year old hp computer that is running vista (but not vista 64).. .

  the smooshed computer w/ the good 1t drive had a pentium e6300 chip, and my working computer has an athlon 64x2.. .
